What are sLUG Locks?
sLUG Locks are a simply designed drum lug accessory that slides over your tension rods and prevents them from de-tuning as you play. As drummers, we've tried many other lug locks on the market and always find they have one of three issues: fit and sizing, durability, or price. Our aim is to solve all three of these issues at once, and provide a massive color palette to choose from so you can accessorize your drums any way you choose.
How do I know what size to pick?
We have a page detailing how to figure out what size tension rods you have, learn more on our Fit Check page. If you are still unsure after reading we offer sample packs of all three sizes, or start with a pack of Standard and see how they fit your drum. sLUGS should fit snug to tight with little to no wiggle. Feel free to email us at support@sluglocks.com or contact us on Instagram @sluglocks and we'll tell you which size to pick.
I can't select the color I want
We are a small operation currently building stock of all colors. To minimize plastic waste, we order material based on demand for the color. You can always get any of our color choices with a custom order of 100 pieces.
If you would like a small amount of a specific color, please submit a "back-in stock request" for your color of choice. An email will be sent as soon as we re-stock.
I tried all three sizes and the fit still isn't right.
If you have an identical spare, or can live without a tension rod for a bit of time, you can always send us one of your tension rods for us to size match. We can do this for any custom order of 100 pieces.
Can I find sLUGS in stores?
Currently, we are only available in Oregon and Washington around the Portland metro area, but will update a list of vendors as we grow!
What are Slug Locks made out of?
We 3D print sLUGS with a wide variety of colored filaments (mostly PLA - a sustainable plastic derived from corn). This allows us to adjust tolerances between batches for a perfect fit and make quick improvements to the products based on community feedback.
What is the typical shipping time?
We are still a small company and growing as quickly as we can. Orders will be shipped as soon as possible, sometimes the same day, but may take 1-3 days depending on the print queue. We thank you for your patience as we grow and develop better products for the drumming community.
