Hi drummers and friends of drummers! I'm Kyle Hans, owner and designer of Slug Locks. I live in Vancouver, Washington where I play drums in a few bands, and work most of the time as a woodworker. I make and ship all packs of sLUGS myself, and currently am just a small one man operation.
Slug Locks started as an attempt to solve one of my biggest frustrations with drumming - drum heads de-tuning from aggressive playing. Having tried a few other brands of lug locks, I just never found ones that fit well or were durable enough to justify the cost. After many prototypes, I settled on the current design which integrates some very simple design features that make it special. I'm thrilled with the response from the drumming community on these so far, and am excited to offer such a wide variety of colors so drummers can accessorize their kit while keeping it in tune.
